Chronicles - the Story Retold

Although our bibles "chronologically" puts the the book of Chronicles
directly following Samuel & Kings ...
it may be more accurate to put it as a wrap up of the Old Testament
As the Jewish Bible does with their Canon of Scripture.
However for our purposes with Breeze Thru the Bible we begin Chronicles this Now.
Week 16, 17 and so on we begin to have a little dejavu
Haven't we already read this... yes and know Chronicles may have a few more details
as will some of the Prophets in the weeks to come.

The Book of Psalms

Moving into the Psalms

Trying to Contextualize the Psalms
The is a book that is meant to be just as much experiential as it is academic...
The Psalms were designed to be sung,
to be shared as poems,
for choirs to share in as a lament or praise...

The Book of 2 Samuel

although we start to pick up a number of the Psalms
we thought it best to give 1 & 2 Samuel a closer look back to back
instead of breaking them up, (since they were originally written as one book anyway.
Also 1 & 2 Chronicles though it parallels the life of the David and the Kingdom era
It is best left as a summary of the O.T. much like the ending of the Hebrew Bible.
