Adam - the Dirt Man

Adam - (Hebrew אָדַם  Greek- Ἀδάμ) red/earth/mud/man

And the LORD God formed man (Adam) of the dust of the ground

and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life;

and man (Adam) became a living soul. 

Genesis 2:7

Charting out the Descendants of Adam from the Genesis Account is quite possible.  

Although modern science dismisses the near millennial ages of the pre-flood patriarchs,

there is ample evidence to believe the bible really means what it says, so when these men are recorded to live hundreds of years, we believe they really were "Dirt Old".

A quick glance at the other bookend of His-Story reveals that there will be a period of time,

in the future, when Christ will usher in a a millennial reign of a thousand years (ten centuries).  

During this era of His-Story it is recorded in Isaiah 65 that to die at 100 years old,

one would be considered a mere youth...

Amazing Long Life 

just like the lives of those who walked the earth before the flood.  

There are a couple of verses that allude to a shortening of life after the flood,  

determining that 70-80 is a life fully lived. (Psalms 90:10) 

 which continues to be the avg.

This is not just a trivial pursuit,

 assuming that these Pre-flood patriarchs lived nearly 10 centuries, 

has paramount implications:

  

Incredible Genes, DNA, Stamina, Immune Systems etc...

Social & Civil Systems Endure when the Patriarchs don't die off...

Credible 1st & 2nd hand accounts of creation all the way to Noah - all the way to Abram.
